2010 PUSH Dinner
March 4, 2010
Nearly 800 guests attended this year’s PUSH held on March 4, 2010 at the Denver Marriott Tech Center.
The 2010 PUSH Dinner was held on March 4th
at the Denver Marriott Tech Center Hotel. Mr. Al Troppmann, President of PCL Construction Services, Inc. was the chair of the dinner and Mr. Pierre Lacroix served as honorary chair. Kathy Walsh with CBS4 Denver hosted the event.
The Christopher and Dana Reeve Inspiration Award was presented to Ms. Glenna Goodacre and her husband, C. L. “Mike” Schmidt. Glenna is a Craig graduate and a world renowned sculptor. Her public sculptures are the pride of city and corporate collections in nearly all 50 states from the Irish Memorial in Philadelphia, to the Vietnam Women’s Memorial in Washington D.C. Glenna is also known for her design of the Sacagawea dollar coin minted since 2000. Mike and Glenna graciously donated “Ballerinas” a sculpture sold at the live auction. Glenna began “Ballerinas” prior to a traumatic brain injury, and recently completed the sculpture.
Thank you to the volunteers, donors and committee members who made the PUSH such a huge success, raising nearly $700,000 for patient equipment, home modifications and research.
The Craig Hospital PUSH Dinner has become one of the most prestigious annual events in Denver. We have now raised more than $6 million to fund critical research in the area of spinal cord and traumatic brain injuries and to provide support to the patients and families affected by these catastrophic injuries.
